Microsoft just released the latest version of the object permission spreadsheet. Compared to what i have seen before i think this is a brand new edition with more features in it.
“The purpose of this report is to provide information on what ojbects are included within the modules for Microsoft Dynamics NAV” as follows:
- Search for individual objects and review the modules that include those objects
- Search for all objects included within specific modules
- Description of RIMDX
The spreadsheet has built in macros you need to enable, and looks like this when you search in it:
Due to Microsofts disclaimer in the file, im not sure i can post it in the download section here. But here is the link to the file on the Microsoft Partnersite: https://mbs.microsoft.com/partnersource/ordering/orderingnews/msdnavobjectperreport.htm
A real nice feature i just learned today, is when you do multiple searches it appends the results:

The contents of the reports are as follows – | |

Hi Søren, thanx. Waht did you change the .zip extension to to able to open it in Excel? .xlsx is not recognized, .zls seems to work though I am getting an error message that it will open the file but the extension is not OK.
Did not change it, it opened in my Excel 2010! The file is an .xslm – here is the direct link: https://mbs.microsoft.com/downloads/partner/nav/Object_PermissionsExternal.xlsm.
Obscure. On my (Win 7) machine it saves it as .zip …. But OK .xslm.
